About Brandte Law PLLC

Wills, Trusts, Probate and Elder Law

The mission of Brandte Law is to protect those who cannot effectively protect themselves and to promote fairness in the legal system.

Our focus on Wills, Trusts, Probate and Elder Law  is to protect the rights, welfare and interests of people as they get older, and to preserve and honor their wishes in incapacity and death. Good estate planning and proper probate administration can ensure that assets are quickly available to survivors. It can ensure that survivors are cared for and that assets are preserved and applied responsibly. Estate Planning can also reduce the opportunities and motives for elder abuse.

If elder abuse does occur, Brandte Law will be there to defend and protect the victim. After personally experiencing what can happen when family members place their trust in the wrong people, we will use every legal means available to obtain a result that is in the best interest of the client.

Brandte Law understands that the justice system requires competent and vigorous representation of the all parties to achieve a just result. Effective representation is critical to your protection. We stand ready to explain the process and your options. With you, we will prepare your case and vigorously pursue the best possible outcome. We are there for you.

Brandte Law PLLC is a firm that cares. Our clients are important to us. We are ready to do what it takes and at reasonable fees.

About John Brandte

If you know me, you might agree that I want to understand everything around me, I want to contribute more than I consume, and I am always optimistic about the future.

I work to bring these traits to my practice and provide the best representation possible for my clients. I have personally seen family disputes result in unfair financial settlements and the use of children as foils. I have seen attempts to brazenly victimize the elderly. I have also witnessed people, very much like the rest of us, in the criminal system who would be lost without good counsel.

Specifically, my areas of practice include:

  • Wills
  • Trusts
  • Estate Planning
  • Probate Administration
  • Elder Law
  • Asset Planning
  • Domestic Violence (selective Family Law matters)

In my business career, I have repeatedly identified key success factors, determined a strategy and then worked with the stake holders to bring success to my organization. These contributions run a gamut of disciplines including: new analytical techniques, acquisition and post acquisition strategies, establishing a structure to minimize channel conflicts, leading an equipment division from obscurity to the largest revenue and profit contributor in the company, and utilizing the latest internet technologies and strategic alliances to make a small company the leader in their market with most all of the top equipment manufacturers as clients.

I also served on the New Hampshire Adult Parole Board as Member and Board Attorney from June 2018 to June 2020, and as a member of the New Hampshire Legislative Ethics Committee.

My formal education includes:

  • Executive LL.M in Taxation – Georgetown Law 2018
  • J.D. – University of New Hampshire School of Law 2014
  • MBA  (Applied Economics/Finance) – University of Rochester, Simon Business School 1979
  • B.S. (Accounting) – Rochester Institute of Technology 1977

My personal life is filled with family and friends, active church membership, participating in prison ministry, reading, writing, cooking, wood turning and thinking 🙂
